Technology applied to light, for the projects a catalogue cannot answer. We work alongside lighting designers, architects, creative studios and manufacturers, holding concept, technique and management together so that what gets built is what was imagined.

WAVES Hall

An organic ceiling that carries the light instead of showing it.

Plywood slats, no two alike, form an organic surface that settles towards one side of the hall and swells towards the other. Digital light hidden along their upper edges is thrown against the plain ceiling above and comes back softened, so the room seems lit by the timber itself. Geometry, cutting files and suspension lengths came from one parametric model; the content is generated live and follows the hall from breakfast to dinner to night.

Sant Joan de Déu

A façade for the whole city, quiet from the rooms behind it.

High on its hill, the hospital is visible from a large part of Barcelona, so the content is written for that distance — playful, sometimes cartoon-like, meant to raise a smile from a child arriving for a hard day. Luminaires and cabling sit inside the façade structure and disappear in daylight, and the light is directed outward so the rooms behind stay dark.

Babylon

A black ceiling that opens into depth when the light comes on.

Off, a dark cellular surface. On, each Voronoi cell becomes a lit box with its own depth and the ceiling seems to dissolve. Every cell is different, yet all were generated by the same model straight into flat laser-cut steel, folded and closed with magnetic diffusers that lift off for maintenance. One pixel per cell, each addressed on its own; the same logic continues into a column.

MADNUM

Free curves, cut flat.

Two organic lines of light run through the entrance square, drawing people inward. Each line starts as a simple curve; a parametric system turns it into two flat laser-cut steel sides whose hole spacings differ by exactly what the bend requires, so the metal takes the intended curve on its own during assembly — no moulds, no one-off tooling. The same system runs through the hall and entrance of Àlaba 111.

Illa Diagonal

1,100 m² of light overhead, behind a single translucent skin.

The ceiling of L'illa Diagonal's central street is a tensioned translucent textile with RGBW pixel panels behind it, driven in real time as one surface. Artec Studio set the lighting intent; the system was co-developed with them — colour strategy, pixel pitch — and then resolved as engineering: custom-shaped panels for an irregular perimeter, power and data for a very high pixel count, and the sprinklers kept inside the luminous ceiling.

Connecta

The slats are the façade by day and the surface by night.

Seen from the square right in front of it, this façade has no distance to hide behind, so the hardware had to become the architecture: a dense field of custom vertical slats, finished for close viewing, that reads as the building’s skin in daylight, lets light through to the glazing behind and turns into a high-resolution luminous surface after dark. Power and data run inside the main structure, with nothing left exposed.

Tres Aguas

Suspended rods of light falling through an atrium like rain held still.

Some two hundred slender luminaires hang through the atrium, each lit diode by diode yet reading as one even surface — a double diffusion hides every point. The palette is deliberately narrow, cool white through warm white to amber, gold and copper, and the content is mapped to each rod's real position, so movement travels through the volume slowly and without a stutter.

Puerto Venecia

One piece of content, three resolutions.

At the mall entrance an L-shaped LED screen, a triangular luminous surface below it and the terraced seating opposite are driven as one composition. The screen leads; a black laser-cut leaf pattern over a diffuser translates its content into broad areas of light, echoing the vertical garden across the way; under the steps, indirect digital light washes the stone. Colour-corrected across three technologies so the image dissolves from screen into atmosphere — and the entrance has become the place where people stop for a photo.

About

We work where catalogue lighting stops being enough.

Special projects lose their intention at the interfaces. The designer thinks in concept and experience, the manufacturer in product and process, the integrator in protocols; the client sees a render. Every hand-over costs a little of the original idea, and on a non-standard project those losses add up to something that no longer resembles it.

We are the bridge between creative intent and operational reality — we take an idea with no catalogue answer and make it something that can be engineered, manufactured, controlled, installed, commissioned, configured and given content.

A digital luminaire is not a digital solution. The hard part is the whole system.
